A regular meeting of the Homestead Township Board was called to order at
7:00 p.m., by Chair, Cathy Demitroff.

Present by Roll Call: Cathy Demitroff, Shelley Rosa, Mary Geetings, Carol
Moore, and Matt Miller

Also present: Bob Rosa, Frank Walterhouse, Sherry Taylor, John Zirkel,
Shantel Sellers, and Bev Holbrook

The entire audience participated in the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVE AGENDA: Motion by Rosa to approve the agenda with additions, new
deputy and cemetery building, under new business. Support Miller with
additions. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 1st MINUTES:

Motion by Miller to accept the August 1st, minutes with corrections.
Support Moore with corrections. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

REPORTS: - Treasurer's: Motion by Moore to accept the Treasurer's Report
as presented. Support Miller. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Clerk's: Motion by Miller to accept the Clerk's Reports as presented.
Support Moore. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Zoning Administrator's, Supervisor's, JPC, and Park Report: Motion by Moore
to accept the Zoning Administrator's, Supervisor's, JPC, and the Park Report
as presented. Support Miller. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF BILLS: General - Motion by Miller to pay the General Fund
Bills. Support Moore. Roll Call. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Fire Mileage - Motion by Miller to pay the Fire Department Bills. Support
Moore. Roll Call. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

Park and Rec Bills - Motion by Miller to pay the Park and Rec Bills.
Support Moore. Roll Call. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

CORRESPONDENCE: Water Shed

PUBLIC IN-PUT: None

Burnham & Flower - B.J. Pratt - Jeffrey McCray was introduced to the board
as our new representative for our insurance. Jeffrey reviewed with all of
us the handbook "Property & Casualty Dividend Program". The board
reviewed the Terrorism Insurance. Motion by Rosa support Geetings to not
include Terrorism Insurance in the Policy. All Ayes. Motion Carried.

NEW BUSINESS: Cement Repair - The hole next to the steps is becoming a
great concern. Yellow tape and cones will be place around the area, until
we get someone to review and fix the problem. Cathy will contact Dale
Wescott, Randy Eberhardt, and then Chris Burdick.

Cemetery Building: The building at Homestead Cemetery has a broken window
that should be replaced or have plexus glass put in it. Cathy to ask Jim
Dale Muchler if he is interested in fixing this for us, along with the
ceiling repair in the kitchen.

Clerk's Deputy: Deb Donley, the current clerk deputy, has moved and has
taken on a full time job, so the clerk needs to replace her deputy. Motion
by Geetings to hire Vicki Sager as the Deputy Clerk. Support Moore. All
Ayes. Motion Carried.

OLD BUSINESS: Recycling Increase. - The board will take no action.

Fire Department: 6 runs for the month - 55 year to date.

Tim Markey - presented to the board a grant the Fire Dept will be applying
for from FEMA.

Motion by Rosa to approve the continuation of the grant process for the Fire
Dept from FEMA for a SCBA Refill station, complete SCBA unit w/tank , a
spare tank, a 3,000 Water Tanker, and a Brush Attach. Support Moore. All
Ayes. Motion Carried.

Physicals: The board will check with other Fire Department on what they
require their fire men to have as far as physicals.

Policies and Procedures: Work in Progress. Matt and Carol have theirs
completed.

PUBLIC IN-PUT: Bob Rosa - the cabins across the road have been flooded
again, between the Village, the County and the Twp someone is responsible.

The rocks have been removed from the spill way in the park, per the board's
request and the specs for the drain project. Without the rocks, the black
top is breaking away. I feel the rocks need to be put back to help prevent
further erosion.

Motion by Moore to replace the rocks at the cost or $175.00. Support
Miller. Roll Call. Shelley Rosa - Abstain, Mary Geetings - Yes, Matt
Miller - Yes, Cathy Demitroff - Yes, and Carol Moore - Yes.. Motion
Carried.

John Zirkel - Lake Township - Presented his feeling on the budgeting at
the County level. He encouraged the board to ask our County Commissioner
about the budget, our commissioner, who also is the Budget Chairman.

Frank Walterhouse: Rebuttal - I am not the Budget Chair, and nothing is
finalized at the county regarding the budget.

Mary Geetings - Asked permission from the board to place the Coho Festival
Float in the pole barn at the Twp Park. Full support from the board.

Blinds: We will order, or pick out blinds for the offices.

Grant Money: This happened state wide, the Council of Government will keep
us all informed as to what will take place if anything.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD:

ADJOURN: Motion by Miller, support Moore. All Ayes. Motion carried.
