John Tobin - Auditor for Homestead Twp - Answered question regarding the financial record keeping of the park.

Cash coming into the park needs to be overseen by the Twp Treasurer

Money needs to be spent on appropriate activities.

Full availability of the park needs to be made to all residents - Cannot restrict park to certain people.

Concession stand can be run by the township, or it can be contracted out.

Contracted person will pay rent, and carry insurance liability

Youth League Money is collected by their association, and is not money for the park. It has been suggested that when youth sign up to play ball, they are informed that the money paid to play ball at the Homestead Twp Park, does not come to Homestead Twp. Homestead Twp will ask for a list from the association of those individuals playing ball, to keep on file at the Township Hall.

Sponsorship Fees - It has been suggested that a Policy be written for the men and women leagues who pay a sponsorship fee to play ball at the park. The fees collected should be treated as an Expense Reimbursement, and it should be determined how the money will be spent to cover expenses.

Homestead Recreational Park Job Description - 2 new job description were distributed to the board for review. The board will email their input to Shelley, and she will compile the information, and a Job Description will be drawn up at the March meeting, along with an ad for the Record Patriot.

PUBLIC IN PUT

Edna Beecraft - Indian Hill Rd - Suggest to have the Record Patriot write up an article on the Homestead Twp Park, with suggestion for people to get involved and volunteer their services.
