BUDGET HEARING MEETING
A Budget Hearing meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Chair, Cathy Demitroff.
Present: Cathy Demitroff, Shelley Rosa, Mary Geetings and Carol Moore. Absent, Matt Miller.
APPROVE AGENDA : Motion by Rosa to accept the agenda with the amendment to add the Concession Stand Ad. Support Moore with amendment. All Ayes. Motion Carried
PUBLIC IN PUT: None
NEW BUSINESS: Approval of Budget - Motion by Resolution, by Rosa to adopt the following:
General Fund Budget $347,646
Fire Fund Budget $ 80,941
Park and Rec Budget $ 45,840
Park and Rec Equip $ 7,895
Fire Impro Fund $ 71,651
Support Moore. All Ayes. Motion Carried
Declare Depository - Motion by Moore to use the Honor State Bank as the Bank Depositor for the 2010/2011 year. Support Demitroff. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Monthly Meetings - Motion by Rosa to hold the Homestead Township Board Meeting the first Monday on the month, unless the Monday fall on a Holiday, then the meeting will take place on the first Tuesday of the Month. The meeting dates will be posted in the paper. Support Geetings. All Ayes. Motion Carried
Roberts Rules In Plain English - Motion by Demitroff, to conduct the Homestead Township Board meetings by Robert Rules. Support Moore. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Truth and Taxation - Motion by Demitroff to follow the Truth and Taxation for Township as follows: "The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing." Support Rosa. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
Concession Stand Ad : Motion by Rosa to run an Ad in the Record Patriot for someone to run the Concession Stand with a minimum bid of $246.00 that will cover permits and water test. Support Geetings. All Ayes. Motion Carried.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE BOARD: Are we going to come with guidelines for the ball players, and are we going to place a sign with rules/guidelines at the entrance of the park.
Mary will take the suggestion to the Park Committee meeting on Monday, March 15th.
