The full committee walked the park to see what is there and get ideas for improvements.

The committee discussed various projects for the park. Some of the list is below

Erosion
Restrooms
Walking Trail
Parking
Concert Stage
Frisbee Golf
Tennis
Basketball
Skate Park
Soccer
Shuffle Board
Horseshoe Pits
Grand Stank

The Committee feels the highest priority project should be the restrooms. The members decided to apply with the Grand Traverse Band for a Tribal grant along with the Olson Foundation to help defray costs. It was felt by all that there is a possibility of having donated labor to build the restrooms under the direction of a general contractor. Frank Walterhouse will get an estimate of costs to accompany the grant applications.

The Committee directed manager Frank Walterhouse to contact a logger to get a dollar estimate for tree removals in the forest part of the walking trail. Members feel money for this can be used to improve the trail.

The Committee feels it would be helpful to erect a sign for the Park down by U S 31.
