Meeting Called to Order: 7:01pm.
Pledge of Allegiance recited.
Members Present: Bruce Andersen, Christy Andersen, Zelda Gray, Roger Hubbell, Mary Miller, Dan Moore, Fred Poynor, Bill Sholten, Jessica Wooten, Sharon Peregoy.
Others Present: Carol Moore (Homestead), Keith Bonney (Inland), Mary Geetings (Homestead), Steve Ingleston (Homestead), Rod Moore (Homestead), Sherry Taylor (Homestead), Shelly Rosa (Homestead), Marilyn Wareham (Inland), Cathy Demitroff (Homestead).
Public Notice: Dan Moore read the public notice into record and stated both Public Hearings were posted in the Benzie Record Patriot and Traverse City Record Eagle on 6 August 2008.
Correspondence received: A letter from Mike Kramer was received. The Letter stated:
I, Mike Kramer, am a resident from Inland Township . I live at 1637 North Thompsonville Hwy. I support all efforts and Joint Zoning between Inland and Homestead Townships, and feel very positive for our Townships. Thank you very much for all of your diligent work towards Homestead and Inland Townships Joint Zoning, Sincerely, Mike Kramer.
Introduction of Commission Members: Roger Hubbell introduced the Planning Commission Members to the people in attendance at the meeting.
Homestead Township : Fred Poynor, Dan Moore, Jessica Wooten, Zelda Gray, and Bill Sholten.
Inland Township : Christy Andersen, Bruce Andersen, Mary Miller, and Roger Hubbell.
Background of Planning Commission: Roger Hubbell gave a brief summary of the Joint Planning Commission Members background.
Introduction of the Planner: Roger Hubbell introduced Roger Williams, Zoning Administrator, to the people in attendance.
Overview of the Zoning Ordinance: Roger Williams gave a brief overview of the Zoning Ordinance and a brief description of each of the 15 Articles and it's contents.
Open Public Hearing: Roger Hubbell gave the ground rules for the public hearing. He opened the floor to the public at 7:15pm.
Keith Bonney: I support all the joint effort on this, I feel that this is a very positive move for the Townships, I think it is terrific, and thank you.
Carol Moore: I would just like to thank Homestead and Inland, the board members for their effort for all their hard work and time, and I support this. I think this is a very good thing that is happening for Homestead and Inland Townships . Thank you.
Steve Ingleston: I just wanted to say the same thing and I am for it one-hundred percent. I would like to get it out of the County's hands, I think it is great. They are our neighbors and we know better than someone who lives in Frankfort . Again One-hundred percent behind you.
Rod Moore : I would like to say that I know how hard you guys have worked to get this together and want to let you know that I support you one-hundred percent.
Sherry Taylor: No Comments.

Shelly Rosa: No Comments.
Mary Geetings: Thank you guys, it was a lot of effort.
Kathy Demitroff: No Comments.
Close Public Hearing: Roger Hubbell closed Public Hearing at 7:19pm.

Bruce Andersen: The group of people and I thank you for supporting us. Without the Michigan Act 226 of 2003 and Act 110 of 2006 this couldn't have been possible, but we have done it, and have taken it away from the County, and I feel that we are on the right track, so I appreciate what you people have said.
Christy Andersen: Thank you.
Fred Poynor: Thank you.
Dan Moore: Thank you.
Roger Hubbell: Thank you, there has been a lot of time spent on this.
Christy Andersen stated that the Ordinance is online and available for review.
Adjourn: Meeting Adjourned at 7:26pm. Motion by Zelda Gray to adjourn, Mary Miller seconded the Motion, All Ayes, No Nays, Motion Carried. Next Meeting is the Public Hearing on 27 August 2008 at 7:00pm, Inland Township Hall.
