Attending: Zelda Gray, Fred Poynor, Christy Andersen, Roger Hubbell, Amanda Deemer and Mary Miller at 7:20.
Absent: Jessica Wooten, Blake Brooks, and Bruce Andersen
Others present: Cathy Demitroff, Marilyn Wareham, Jerry Bush, Gladys Wilson, Craig Seiger, Roger Chorley, Cindy Chorley, Dan Moore, Carol Moore, Tom Gray, Rod Moore, Steve Ingleston, and Roslie Pelch.
Christy had roll call of officers and thanked the visitors for attending the meeting.
Motion by Roger Hubbell to approve the agenda as presented. Zelda Gray supported this motion. All Ayes motion carried
Zelda Gray made a motion to approve the March 20th meeting minutes. Amanda Deemer supported the motion. All Ayes Motion carried
Contract review: The Commission reviewed the contract for Williams Consulting Services. The contract outlines all that had been discussed previously with the board. Christy received a separate e-mail that spoke of putting a cap on the total dollar amount of this contract. This cap could be added to the contract. Roger Hubbell stated the two Township representatives and the Chair of the Joint Planning Commission should sign the contract. Spaces should be provided for all three signatures. Christy Andersen feels a cap of $10,000 for both the master plan and the ordinances should be added to the contract. The Commission feels the Chairman of the Commission should be the representative for the entire commission. Fred Poynor stated the Joint Planning Commission should request a copy of Williams Consulting insurance coverage and attach it to the signed contract. He also asked about the contract state it is being made in Grand Traverse County instead of Benzie. It is felt this is because Williams office is in Traverse City but Christy will check on this to be sure. Zelda made a motion to make these modification to the contract and resubmit to the Commission for final approve. Fred supported the motion. All Ayes Motion Carried
The next meeting of the Planning Commission on April 17, 2007 at the Homestead Town Hall at 6:30p.m.
